The South African Security Academy is a young, dynamic, privately owned and operated company providing training to the security sector with specific emphasis placed on assisting security companies become PSIRA/SASSETA compliant. We are proud to be a 100% South African owned and operated company.
The Members of TSASA vision is to assist the authorities in eradicating the huge corruption that is being exercised in the training industry by unscrupulous operators that have in the past not delivered properly trained individuals to the security industry but have merely opened " printing shops " as soon as they became accredited to provide training.
The objective of TSASA is to become a major roll player in the re training of the total security industry via the SASSETA ACCREDITED RPL SYSTEM. TSASA therefore aims to assist all security companies in their quest to have their staff members re qualified under the new SASSETA control training system and requirements via ON SITE information gathering via the SASSETA PRL SYSTEM and therefore expedite the process of re qualifying all security officers as soon as possible. TSASA will only utilise SASSETA qualified assessors and moderators to enable us to deliver only the highest level of service to the security industry.
All security companies that are currently operational are by virtue of the new dispensation obliged to re train their guards as soon as possible or face the possibility of closure. TSASA have via the Association Of Security Company Owners and several other organisations been able to make positive arrangements to be the only service supplier to deliver the SASSETA RPL SYSTEM to re qualify their guards, to name but a few, FREEDOM HOUSE SECURITY, LEXUS SECURITY, BARON SECURITY, CLAW SECURITY, 24/7 SECURITY etc.
All security companies will be serviced with SASSETA qualified TSASA ground crew that will apply the SASSETA RPL SYSTEM on site and in person with all guards that are currently actively in the clients employ. A SASSETA personnel file will be kept at TSASA offices containing copies of the guards PSIRA CERTIFICATION, PREVIOUS TRAINING COURSES COMPLETED AS WELL AS A LETTER OF GOOD STANDING FROM THE EMPLOYER. This is known as a portfolio of evidence proving the guards current status and qualifications that will be taken in consideration when the SASSETA RPL SYSTEM is applied for re qualification. All information will be processed at the offices and then forwarded to the SASSETA offices in Midrand for verification, authorisation and the issuing of the new unit standard SASSETA certificate validating the guard's competence in his duties as a security officer.
Alwyn Blignaut is committed to only deliver the highest level of service and integrity to the clients to enable TSASA to become THE TRAINING CENTRE that will be recognised by all as the one and only to utilise. I will strive to deliver correctly trained and qualified security officers to the security companies in S.A. so that the stigma the currently clings to the industry be eradicated as soon as possible. I understand that TSASA's ability to uphold the promise of superior service depends on how TSASA functions as a team. We therefore strive to achieve the following:
THE FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF A SECURITY SKILL TRAINING PROGRAM VIA AN ACCREDITED AND SUPPORTED BY MANPOWER PROJECT AS AN LEARNER-SHIP, THAT WILL INJECT NEW SECURITY OFFICERS INTO THE P.S.I.R.A. DISPENSATION THAT WILL HELP IRRADICATE THE CURRENT SCURGE OF BADLY TRAINED OR PERSONS WITH ILLEGALLY OBTAINED ACCREDITATION THAT WILL THEREFORE BE FORCED FROM THE SYSTEM. THE LEARNER-SHIP WILL BE COMPLETELY FREE AND WILL COMPLY WITH ALL THE REGULATIONS THAT IS REQUIRED TO AFFECT SUCH A LEARNER-SHIP. THIS WILL ALSO BE INLINE WITH THE GOVERNMENTS EFFORT IN JOB CREATION VIA THE LEARNING OF A SKILL OR SET OF SKILLS TO OTHERWISE UNSKILLED AND HISTORICALLY DISADVANTAGED PERSONS FROM THE AGES OF 18 TO 30 YRS THAT ARE S.A. CITIZENS.
